The New Age Wedding Cocktail Hour

The following playlist features a diverse assortment of music from the New Age genre.  New Age music tends to be meditative and spiritual, the perfect soundscape for relaxation.  There are an incredible number of New Age artists from across the globe.  Some of the well-known names include Enya, Yanni, Kitaro, George Winston and Vangelis.  We’ve included some of these artists on our one hour playlist, but omitted others in lieu of our personal favorites – also borrowing from related musical genres like ambient electronica, the Buddha Bar electronic lounge series, classical music (Erik Satie) – and even indie folk (Bon Iver).

DJ Gregg Ambient, the compiler of this playlist, recently returned from a Vermont spa vacation and found himself in a meditative state of mind and inspired by the beautiful scenery.  Accordingly, for a signature drink, Gregg has selected a pint of Maple Breakfast Stout, brewed by Vermont microbrewery 14th Star Brewing Co.
